Ecuador has two major airports. Quito & Guayaquil, the latter being the one to the south near the coast; with comfortable bus service around the corner from the airport taking you to Manta in about 3 ½ hours. Several hotels are within a few minutes of the airport via a taxi ride.
Quito's new airport is located about 45 minutes from downtown. If you have never been to Ecuador, it may be advisable to spend a few days to see the many sights. You can take a Taxi for around $30.00; there is also a bus service that will take you to the old airport, now the bus terminal, which is close to some major hotels. Some hotels will arrange to pick you up from there, inquire when you book, or a few dollars for taxi.
There are frequent flights from Quito to Manta, a short 40-minute flight. Busses also travel frequently, but it is an 10-hour trip, however you will see the countryside with the change of scenery from the sierra to the coast!
